Thread: windowmaker dock for xfce panel

i reinstalled ubuntu on laptop, , went through usual tweaks make "just right" it. although used use windowmaker lot in past, have used xfce , bounce between two.

problem windowmaker dock "applet" xfce panel - had working @ first, , computer locked on me (it older laptop tends hot, , locks screen up). when rebooted, saw of wm dock apps on top of each other in upper left corner, , panel app showing "dead mouse" x , none of apps loaded there should. closing apps , trying restart them brings them desktop, not xfce panel. likewise, killing panel app , restarting "from scratch" still won't dock apps swallowed should be.

i'm no great guru linux i'm not afraid of cli or manipulating config file. need know , fix or delete.

p.s. - did through xfce forums on related website/wiki, rather vague on files , editing, , there no supporting information on wm dock other "plug in , works"..

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
