Acrobat XI Pro PDFMaker does not create link for cross-referenced footnote

using word 2013, acrobat xi pro pdfmaker not create link cross-referenced footnote. detail: in word document, have footnote (one of several) , refer same footnote more once using word cross-reference tool. when use pdfmaker, footnote links created correctly, no link created cross-reference.

have checked preferences in acrobat menu. not uncommon specific link unchecked in list of link creations. may not problem, worth checking.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
