Capture Help

on macbook pro retina, trying capture video premiere pro canon vixia hg20.  camera takes usb-mini5b , computer takes usb-a (computer has inputs usb 3.0, , apple thunderbolt).  in premiere capture window, “capture device offline” message.  did troubleshooting per adobe instructions, no luck.  opened imovie, , import program, want use premier pro.  there solution this?  need different cable or adaptor?  thanks.

premiere cannot capture (which tape-based function-firewire) hard drive camera.

you need transfer images camera hard drive (usb or cardreader) on mac first , import them premiere.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
