i had downloaded trial, , month later paid subscription, not letting me download new programs. keeps saying, "we've encountered following issues: other instances of adobe application manager running must closed before installing product. please close or wait them complete." problem is, when agree quit, closes program, , illustrator not begin download. keeps re-occuring every time. way solve this?

we can't know without system information. , particular error indicate have permissions or user privileges problems , install never finished properly. check task manager/ activity monitor.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
