epub thumbnail gallery?

hi there, creating simple landscape fixed layout photography epub.

 

the idea each page display 15 or thumbnails. when user taps thumbnail relevant image displayed fullscreen overlaying caption. if fullscreen image tapped caption disappear, tapped again, reappear , on.

 

there exit button return thumbnail page. if page swiped take next page different set of thumbnails.

 

the idea based around gallery widget ibooks author unable adapt needs, contemplating putting using indesign.

 

i total novice questions are, functionality possible indesign , terminology search whilst looking instructions, tutorials etc?

 

any info appreciated.

it's not available indesign. first, indesign doesn't support creating fixed layout epubs, although people can using tools epubcrawler rorohiko.

 

second, think have use javascript kind of interactivity. you'd need become programmer or find familiar adding javascript epub. might check out elizabeth castro's blog , website hints , tips:

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
