How to avoid eco if we are not using headset?

hello, have flash in cs$ , as3 use camera , micro comunicate 2 people.

all works correctly, if don't use headset, , using speakers of pc , webcammicro, 1 receive audio of speakers , send voice through channel, , person apeaking receives own voice couple seconds later.

there si way avoid eco scenario?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
