Photoshop versus Lightroom

i need decide product purchase amateur photography tasks. questions if lightroom functions in photoshop cs6. both software packages compatible? need both? achive lightroom in photoshop?

all of lightroom's photo editing capabilities in cs6, cs6 has gazillion more photo editing features. both can pretty job of printing photos. none of lightroom's many other features (library module , workflow improvements, web module, map module, book module). no don't need both, many people use both. many people use lightroom , photoshop elements. many people use lightroom. depends on want photos, haven't told us. so, want photos?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
