Question about Optional/Editable Template Items

i have javascript need apply pages except one.  use template.  figured, perhaps, add editable region on template, add code, go 1 page , delete it, , well.  doesn't work.  though need dig optional regions, bit unlcear on "express" come from.

 

is there simple way this?  template items?

if pages require javascript except one, won't hurt put inside template, it?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
