Thread: cant change themes

ive tried everything. trying install orta theme. ive installed gnome tweak tool. shows in windows theme options not in gtk-theme option window. i've installed gtk-chtheme app , shows up, click apply , ok...nothing.i have gtk2.0. installed libgtk2.0-dev. tried creating .theme folder in home folder , unzipping there. nothing. tried running nautilus, unzipping in /usr/share/themes. nothing. please help. i'm on verge of throwing laptop out of window......

which version of ubuntu using? if it's 11.10, you'll need gtk3 theme, not gtk2 theme.

(or you'll want theme includes both gtk3 , gtk2 themes, of stuff using gtk3 having same theme older application that's still using gtk2 of course nice)

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
