Thread: no sound in web browser with usb headset kubuntu 11.10

basically getting audio through logitech usb headset in except in web browsers. headset had no sound @ required setting kmix use headset input/output rather internal audio allowed audio play in web browser. there few threads on issue in 2009 older versions of ubuntu they've out of date advice give fixing no longer works in 11.10. http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1614871 http://www.linuxforums.org/forum/ubu...y-headset.html http://getsatisfaction.com/twones/to...firefox_ubuntu

edit: sigh... sudo apt-get install pavucontrol trial , error of sound outputs/inputs gets sound work in browsers... future reference pavucontrol name of pulseaudio sound control settings gui.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
