Thread: NVidia driver installation

since don't have experience divers, went ahead , installed recommended proprietary driver nvidia 310m, lead low graphics mode, instead of enabling 3d performance.

followed http://www.webupd8.org/2010/06/how-t...5-display.html (that installed current 290 version of driver, still cannot see improvement - if go enable effects, says cannot. how can check drivers present , ones using now?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
