i'm getting regular error message when computer starts - 1 in 3 starts:

error
panel encountered problem while loading "wnckletfactory::windowlistapplet".
want delete applet configuration?

can't manage without window list, have restart. i'm on ubuntu 11.10 i'm not using unity, i've installed gnome-session-fallback.

i'm not using gnome 3, i've had problem on few installs of earlier versions. generally, i've been able uninstall window list applet - reboot , re-install it.

simple enough try , solves problem.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
