hi have project want work on.

plan have create ping test tool allows users put in ip address , ping it. (like http://centralops.net/co/ping.aspx)

want run server have @ home running ubuntu 11.04

have idea on how ?

probably start looking @ terminal ping command - @ man page in terminal or here

or head on ping home page here - loads of info , source code's half way down.

should able write script using ping achieve want.. unless want test specific ip pinging it.. use ping command.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
