Thread: Problem with Toshiba e-studio 202s Printer

hello, due need of licenced os needed enterprise i've been on need enter linux world(ubuntu in case). i've had no problem installing , running in 2 computers. both computers have own printer. 1 has epson stylus, wich works in both pcs(with ubuntu) , other 1 toshiba e-studio 202s. last 1 giving me headaches. important of both, , printer ain't being recognized. connect via usb , computer recognizes there's connect can't tell what.

i've tried doing reboot of usb drivers if problem usbs but, if problem wouldn't have been able install epson stylus so, not problem.
i've tried install generic driver ( postscript open printing). still in same place.

big problem can't go add new printer because can't select usb port or printer.
options choose are: lpt 1, serial port 1(wich appears always), , enter uri.

if 1 has idea of can i'll thankfull.

same here e-studio 202s' predecessor e-studio 162. 162 doesn't show when plugged in usb. know toshiba doesn't release in way shape or form linux (they're totally in bed windows , mac) seriously, there's gotta way make machine work, printer. it's capable of smb scanning i'd happy getting print lol.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
