i have hp laptop cant remember how find specifics, anyway running 10.04 lts , working fine when unplug charger cuts of , according battery meter charged great.

r u sure ur battery isnt broken?
if isnt flashing , upgrading ur bios shud fix issue.
download latest bios ur laptop vendors website n install it.
beware upgrading faulty bios may cos hardware failue select rite one.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
