Adobe Reader XI crashes Skype

since loading adobe reader xi, no longer able open skype app. following error messages:

"this application has failed start because odbcbcp.dll not found. re-installing application may fix problem" , "failed load library 'pdh.dll'"

i have been able determine odbcbcp.dll file no longer present in th c:\windows\system 32\ folder.

how can fix problem skype work?

i not think installation of adobe reader has removed operating system files.

 

try running system file checker:

sfc /scannow

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
