Alpha Track Matte'd layer does not gets masked when it has layer styles.

i'm trying understand why happening layers i've got in comp in cs6. 

 

i have layer styles applied it:  gradient overlay, stroke, etc.  when set track matte of layer 'alpha matte <layer>' layer refuses masked properly.  however, when remove styles layer masked out expected.  not possible use alpha matte track mattes when layer has style applied it?

show me screenshot of doing. can apply layer styles track matte layer , have preserve alpha in layer.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
