how can move lightroom info computer external hard drive?

probably want move photos, not catalog file. if that's want do, can use operating system move photos ehd , reconnect via http://www.computer-darkroom.com/lr2_find_folder/find-folder.htm.

 

if want move catalog file (the reason can think of portability, drawback operate more on ehd), move , associated previews using operating system ehd, double-click on .lrcat file.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
