Importing large raw AVI files only partially loads the clip

so frustrating. i'm using video game's feature able export clips game. video dumps out raw, uncompressed avi format. want import , work in adobe premiere elements 11. thing is, adobe premiere elements loads portion of video. find virtualdub has no issues in loading entirely, , if save out of virtualdub avi can import full thing premiere.

so why can't premiere elements simple things freeware can work large, raw, uncompressed file? disappointing, , support process of asking on open forum seems frustrating. don't know if adobe see this!?

is there better way contact adobe directly , ask them fix or perhaps consider making better support these files?

thanks,

if premiere elements 11 windows falls under category of purchased/registered/current version, might want explore possibility of free adobe technical service direct adobe.

the answers based on details either route prepared give details have not presented here...computer environment, length of uncompressed avi, et al. of these capture programs require conversion format before importing premiere elements. typically manufacturer of capture software writes instructions. , virtual dub common recommendation such manufacturer. way, in case note, .avi wrapper format wrapping video , audio compression. and, .avi file can have several different video/audio compression. so, there many types of .avi file. type of .avi did export virtual dub...what video , audio compression + .avi wrapper worked "uncompressed avi" converted ".avi" , intact premiere elements 11?
