Premiere Elements 11, Windows 8, Was Working Fine, Now 'Has Stopped Working'

i have finished project successfully, burned bluray acceptable result, shut down night. while viewing bluray, saw couple of glitches wanted fix, , menu did not appear, re-opened project morning. thinking stop marker fix menu not re-appearing, inserted 1 @ thought end of video was. found unnecessary clip @ end had slipped me, making end of video longer, , problem main menu not coming back. deleted clip. rendered, saved, , played, playback wouldn't start. closed , restarted 5 times, same result. now, premiere elements not start @ all, splash screen, windows box saying program has stopped working , windows in touch me when find solution. ideas? de-selected sound device in control panel while program running, have undone action , program not start. appreciate help.

i did complete uninstall/reinstall, same result. tried search recent files had been changed, deleted (renamed, actually), same thing. thanks
