Thread: I broke GRUB

i'm trying uninstall ubuntu, delete partition in. however, cant load windows partition because grub comes with:
code:
error: unknown filesystem  grub rescue>
how can load windows partition and/or remove grub?

i found ubuntu automatically installs partition being used, sure didn't delete windows @ same time?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
