i looking distro match old dell 3000 computer. thinking of trying xubuntu not sure whether go 11.10 or lts release 10.04.

there other easy use resource friendly distros might consider old dell 3000?

i installed 11.10 other day on old easynote acquired free - worked fine - though did have 1gb ram in it.

depends hardware it's got guess.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
