i financially incapable of meeting adobe's creative cloud subscription commitments. struggling freelancer working full time minimal wage, , cannot afford pay $50.00 month rent software. less willing have pay software have purchased if continue able use it. own cs5 suite, , have been trying save cs6 suite. however, scared have pay heafty fees can continue use software have purchased , paid for. going forced pay monthly fee keep software licenses?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
