adobe application manager having typing issues when I try to sign in with my adobe ID

the adobe application manager not functioning on desktop (mac). 

i not trying download anything, stay updated products own.

when try sign in adobe application manager adobe id (my email address), if type in letter 'a', text in text box gets highlighted, if type next letter in adobe id, typed text disappears.  'c' key doesn't show when type it.  unfortunately, email contains both of these letters.

i have tried reinstalling application manager multiple times.  able sign in same adobe id on laptop , use application manager no problems.

i know keyboard not issue, because did screen sharing through laptop , had exact same issues.

i worried having access products.

any appreciated - i'm @ end of rope!

you using system extension or accessibility feature meddles keyboard inputs. remove it/ turn off.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
