Anchored object not aligning at top correctly

i laying out book, have text frame object contain text on each page. within text frame object, inserting object (another text frame object) above line of text. inserted text frame object @ top of outside text frame. however, when inserted text frame object @ top of page, 0.0699 inches top of outside text frame object. ouside text frame object has no inset spacing (all 0) , anchored object has 0 space above, , yet, has 0.0699 inches of space above can't remove.

 

i running indesign cs6 under windows 7.

if haven't already, try checking these 2 items under "object" menu when embedded (anchored) text box direct-selected, or selcted cursor if text:

 

1. object > anchored object > options, check settings don't contain space before or space after. how other options set may affect how text block positions @ edge of box, instance @ top of dialog box position: inline/above line default, custom setting may chosen. if so, there quite few additional settings in "custom" configuration.

 

2. object > text frame options > baseline options "tab", check if offset changed "ascent" or "leading" or other choice, if changes position of embedded text box (have preview box checked @ bottom left of dialog box can see how change affects anchored box)... setting affect anchored box, need select if paragraph. so, "highlight" text cursor, rather direct selecting pointer... because text frame options setting directed @ enclosing text box, not embedded text box object.

 

any paragraph or character formatting have going on in enclosing text box @ line anchored text box placed (attached to) can adversely affect anchored box's position. things leading, space before/space after, lock baseline, baseline shift, etc. present @ insertion point copied or inserted inside text box, can affect position, if there no type present show style or attribute.
