BIG mistake = major dissapointment
why adobe, why? i want own software, not rent. makes think offering rental software idea? , yes, rental. can see, there no way purchase , own programs such creative suites. if there no way own, can rented.
so mean can have lawyer draw rental agreement? way can't "evict" me ever see fit. if join cloud, , in 2 years can no longer afford it, lose programs. how expect keep customers doing business that.
i excited release of cs7 after seeing great videos of new improvements premier pro. done deal, ready buy. now, stay cs6 indefinitely, or until find editing solution.
what don't understand why this, considering of fcp converts coming over. you've given them reason choose else , stay away.
i have praised company years better software, , better overall experience. guess won't happen longer.

first off, you've never owned software, you've ever been granted license use it.
that said, agree current subscription license model obviously missing exit strategy.
what propose this:
if, after person has been member of creative cloud 2 years, begin offer ability them, upon termination of subscription, continue use in "perpetual license" fashion, version of software 2 years old or older.
that way, customers willing make committment part of subscription program not have worry left nothing @ all.
there may accounting laws prevent being possibility, don't know. if it's possible wish adobe consider it.
