DVD Disc content size confusing

i have collection of 8mm movie reels have had converted 1 dvd.  these 8mm movies have no sound.  contents of original dvd are:

 

 

vts_01_1.vob  0.99 gb

vts_01_2.vob  0.99 gb

vts_01_3.vob  0.99 gb

 

i have run .vob files collectively thru rejig create 1 .m2v file, follows:

 

 

vts_01_1_thru_3_rejig.m2v   2.20 gb

 

i have imported vts_01_1_thru_3_rejig.m2v file encore v2.  deleted empty audio track.  added subtitle track , added subtitles.  did build dvd/dvd image , created new dvd containing original, unedited video, subtitles.  new dvd contained following:

 

vts_01_1.vob  1,048,544 kb   0.99 gb

vts_01_2.vob  1,048,544 kb   0.99 gb

vts_01_3.vob  1,048,544 kb   0.99 gb

vts_01_4.vob  1,048,544 kb   0.99 gb

vts_01_5.vob  149,056 kb  145 mb

when you  brought new file encore, did "do not transcode" in dvd transcode status column in project panel?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
