Text with three strokes on the outside?

for life of me can't duplicate 3 strokes happening text. there easy way in illustrator? it's not like, it's client.

this may want, live type:

 

1) type , set fill colour inside colour: tick fill in toolbox , set colour in color palette (white in image);

2) in appearance palette flyout, tick new stroke, set stroke weight suitable large value (see below) , set colour outermost/innermost stroke colour (deep cyan/blue in image);

3) tick new stroke again, set stroke weight lower value , set colour midmost stroke colour (white in image).

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
