Thread: Backgrounds in "workspaces" not showing up in 11.10

i have set desktop change throughout day. when click on "workspaces" icon under account, backgrounds aren't showing up. instead of background, solid color, whatever color chosen in "appearance" settings (right-click > change desktop background > color selected in lower-right corner). there seem have been reports of happening compiz, don't have installed.

seems happen when desktop background set change. if choose 1 particular background , log out, display background have chosen.

i've made few tweaks, don't remember have done have changed setting.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
