Thread: HDMI showing only the upper half of the screen (twice)

hi,

update: problem needed patches. see last post.

finished upgrade motherboard.

bios screen on hdmi looks fine, when run both ubuntu 11.10 had installed in hd , installation usb, both show upper half on both halves of screen.

in other words can't see bottom half of screen!

have zotac h67 intel i3 2130.

have i915 driver:
code:
$ lsmod | grep i915 i915                  505143  2 drm_kms_helper         32889  1 i915 drm                   196322  3 i915,drm_kms_helper i2c_algo_bit           13199  1 i915 video                  18908  1 i915
since can browse bios without problem, imagine problem in ubuntu driver. idea?
