Thread: How to extend the duration of a movie?

i have avi video file that's 35 minutes 40 seconds duration. problem whoever encoded seems have made booboo, because plays @ double speed - both video , audio. file properties tell me it's @ 25 fps.

let's call file movie.avi

in avidemux, there's video filter change fps without changing total duration. that's not want. want duration changed, , don't mind dropping fps. , of course need audio change duration well.

have ideas on how can that? using ffmpeg, or pitivi, or avidemux?

can show ffmpeg says file?
code:
ffmpeg -i movie.avi
