Thread: how to unhide folder in desktop

hi new ubuntu,just switch win7. m ammaze wit u guys...how did u learn ol dis crazy wonderful stuff...wish lyk u !
qs. migth boring u guys dont know.....wat do. read directions hidding folder "." , works in location when creat 1 in desktop name .dyr cant find way unhide it. can see terminal typing ls --all sumthing lyk how unhide it? please !!!

1. open file manager (nautilus) (since newbie, open home folder , desktop folder)

2. hit ctrl + h

3. can edit name or unhide removing " . " or whatever need ~
