Thread: Nutty to Oneiric server upgrade risk factors

i'm preparing 'do-release-upgrade' on nutty box upgrade 11.10. i've googled around, , found this advice.

server runs apache (lamp) web services, including have installed independently of apt (plone, bugzilla, civicrm, wordpress).

besides doing backup of affected data, configuration , apt-independent software, there other known "risk factors" keep in mind , prepare for?

i'd clone whole drive safe, after backups made.

way if gets messed up, can restore image , , running.

upgrading specific reason? natty supported until october of year.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
