Thread: Resources to check hardware/parts compatibility/support for computer builds, etc.

from experience adding hardware computers, seems difficult know hardware works out of box ubuntu (and linux in general) without tedious process of "trial-and-error."

suspect having exact computer part need in hands before installation satisfying when have part need engine. when looking around various forums , sites, seems there no real certainty. in-fact, come across more uncertainty; how many times have seen title "thingamajig doesn't work!!!" or other frustrated wordings.

expect thread clarify of steps reader might take when in situation of buying or researching working hardware. assume readers hardware works out of box--why or why not? in doing so, category of hardware being searched for; websites or resources used; retail stores, websites, or possible "hookups" local readers can use; or down hardware chosen help.

reading, responding, , resolving.

p.s. dealing w/ sci. writing format. bio ya!
