Thread: Ubuntu-Studio release 11.10

i'm having trouble several applications in ubuntu-studio 11.10, did not have xubuntu 10.10. parole media player shows error message not play out plugins added. ones! vlc media player won't show video audio portion. play mp3's. package manager shows have mplayer installed, not in applications menu. i've searched every codec , possible other file on medibuntu , ubuntu repositories. should give , go xubuntu?

frustrated in texas

did try installing ubuntu-restricted-extras?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
