Thread: Updating/Installing the latest flash player

hi all,
have problem installing latest flash player (which think think in adobe 11.1.102.55). have tried several times through software centre, when got upload photos in facebook or watching tv episodes online still says need install latest flash player.
have tried doing through terminal part supposedly installs it, still doesn't work. directly downloading adobe website, downloads , comes in file manager.

wondering if there trick it?
need update version of firefox make function? (how do if need ?)
have ubuntu 11.10 , think latest version of flash player 11.1.102.55
hope people might have ideas

it should work straight repository; perhaps latest version, close (i'm on 11.04 , flash version 11.1 r02).

uninstall flash; log out , in again; , repository (whether ubuntu software centre, synaptic package manager or apt-get), install:
ubuntu-restricted-extras
flashplugin-nonfree

run update manager; press check; install updates (if any).

close firefox; open again; , check.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
