App is using a lot of space on my computer

i installed app on macbook air , set app not save computer.  pictures stored on external hard drive.  adobe revel library folder in pictures folder taking lot of storage. how storage should folder use if i'm asking not save computer? happens if delete foldera?

when use revel on ios , mac , open library first time cache thumbnails image thumbnails viewing. download loupe previews , originals editing on demand , cache them view them. on mac take additional step , cache originals library. (this original downloading not done on ios) . if upload 100 mb of images need equal amount of 100mb of free space on mac. if delete folder deleting cached thumbnails , originals.
