Create Head symbol with layers (Was: symbols...)

saw tutorial on youtube making character talk, question how make head symbol , have layers in it? when convert head symbol , double click, opens head 1 layer on it...please help

if converted symbol after creating layers normal compress 1 layer.  easiest start creating symbol first building layers inside it. 

 

to after having created layers can select layers/frames involved , right click selection , choose copy frames.  create new empty movieclip symbol, right click 1 keyframe in , select paste frames.  in doing that, of frames/layers fill out timeline intact.
