Lightroom 4.3 to 4.4 update

i'm trying install new update lightroom 4.3 4.4 on windows 7 64-bit/32-bit.  each time have tried download, sits @ preparing files download stage never download anything.  there's never type of error comes seemingly never downloads.  i'm trying see if there's can done or known issue , how around it?  thank support , answers in advance.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
