Old school from before Premiere Pro days

i want using adobe premiere elements 11, hopefully, on 2012 mac mini. 2.3ghz quad-core intel core i7 16gb ram.  my  dv camcorder old canon zr30, 400 firewire, still works fine.  after reading many of questions/answerers on forum, , coming in contact abbreviations , terms ie. avchd, 1080i , 1080p, .mts  unfamiliar, there pitfall i'm bound encounter using zr30?

 

i'm still using old adobe premiere (before pro) of i'm familar;  i'm wondering if pe/11 similar ap? 

 

does pe/11 offer use of green screen effect?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
