suddenly unable to save files edited in camera raw

mac pro, 2 tb drive, 8 gb ram, lots of empty hd space.  nikon d4 raw files

after using camera raw process thousands of photos , saving in jpg equipment, message in window, "the file not saved".  haven't changed settings.  can work around opening in ps , saving. emptied cache , didn't resolve issue.

suggestions?

probably need more info.  file not saved - raw want save in jpg?  if tried again did work?  perhaps file used app?
