Thread: How to fix a corrupted mbox file?

hi all!

having problems evolution: mbox file seems corrupted. tried methods find solve problem, not assume mbox file corrupted (they require moving files, deleting index , folders.db files, , on).
since tried them all, must assume mbox file corrupted (also after trying methods mentioned above, saw e-mails dated in 1954 , 2036, wrong there).
there way repair corrupted mbox file? also, there way eliminate duplicated e-mails it?
using evolution 2.32.2 in maverick.

well, figured out how it: download , run following perl script: http://wdr1.com/hacks/mbox-dedup.pl
remove duplicate e-mails , not include corrupted.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
