Thread: Is it possible to change location of window control buttons?

i using ubuntu 10.04 lts , default appearance preference set "ambiance" control buttons (minimizing, maximizing, killing window, firefox) located @ top left corner. possible change location of these 3 buttons right top corner in "ambiance" mode? want customize in windows firefox, terminal etc.

hello, arroy_0209.

launch gconf-editor. navigate apps => metacity => general. in right-hand pane locate parameter string button_layout.
default read: close, minimize, maximize. change read menu:minimize, maximize, close
that's it. each window instantly display old layout known karmic koala , - ehem - windows.
in case not wish display menu button in top left corner, change parameter button_layout read :minimize, maximize, close
note colon @ beginning. left of colon appear in top left corner, right of colon appear in top right corner.

kind regards,
karl
