Thread: Resume From Suspend on ThinkPad X220 Spotty & Strange!

when suspend either of 2 thinkpad x220's under xubuntu, fail wake 1 in 15-25 times. happens strange though, , believe sheds light on problem, need deciphering:

when open lid after suspend , fails wake up, lcd black screen (powered on, backlight on, nothing displayed). however, computer operates 100% normally. is, can type password unlock screensaver should displayed, hit return, start typing commands (i have terminal open), , happen! example, can type "sudo reboot" followed password, , computer reboots!

suggestions?

what did putting in password reach desktop workaround. bug they're working on. didn't save link though.

if can find bug report i'll post it.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
