Thread: Some help with unity desktop?

i trying use time time still miss old desktop.
have couple of points limit usability.
-active applications? if start example couple of file managers or terminals, appear on bar , on left side of icon there couple of white arrows showing more 1 of these open. fine-but switching between them seems work alt+tab? there no way click mouse - in old 1 there taskbar below desktop , easy.

-simple thing making desktop shortcut? way "create launcher" not seem possible right click on laucher icon , select option?

1. click icon twice show program's open windows.

2. can done, can't walk through not in front of computer now. hasn't been implemented in unity yet why more involved.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
