Thread: ubuntu 10.4 resolution problem

i still using lucid lynx on toshiba nb 205. native screen resolution 1024x600, ubuntu has stopped recognizing resolution in system--> preferences --> monitors. have been using 1024x768. have larger monitor plug netbook school work. using deleted bottom panel , moved need top panel. , adjust internet browser , other programs fit 600p screen because bottom gets cut off. if restore computer's actual resolution great. haven't had luck find online.

what happened in order ubuntu stop recognize resolution? how drivers? have tried setting resolution manually xorg.conf? (not recommended)

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
