Why does a DVI or VGA look better than HDMI for 2nd Monitor
why dvi or vga connection program monitor better hdmi. i've tested on several systems cs5x , cs6. full screen output premiere looks worse hdmi.
i can see visual differences windows gui well, on sharpening of text , lines, harsh rendering of gradients. looks vga signal displayed on television.
i've looked @ nvidia stetting , appears set 1920x1080 @ 60hz either way, dvi or hdmi. on 1 acer 20 inch monitor vga, hdmi, composite, component, , digital tuner, no dvi. program monitor has looked blah hdmi. switched connection dvi vga adaptor, , video looks better.
any thoughts or explanations?
you see, stephen, no desktop computer 20-inch monitor can display 1920x1080 @ (or fuzzy @ setting): every single separate 20-inch monitor i've ever seen has native resolution of 1440x900, 1600x900 or 1680x1050. , unlike hdmi, dvi can automatically adjust card's output resolution match monitor's native resolution. happens computer lcd monitors perform mediocre job or worse @ scaling input not match native resolution.
in case of acer 20-inch monitor in question, native resolution 1600x900, not 1920x1080.
