Performance problems with R3D footage

greetings,

 

i installed cs6, started using speedgrade, tested r3d footage, , didn't come across problems until tried send sequence premiere pro speedgrade.

 

the sequence imported properly, footage impossible play back.

 

it perfect when worked clips directly speedgrade, premiere sequence impossible work, computer slow , play couple of frames per second.

 

i set playback 1/8 resolution , paused same , still had problems.

 

i have mac pro 2 x 2.4ghz quad-core intel xeon; memory 6gb; ati radeon hd 5770 1024 mb graphics.

 

is computer slow handle complete sequences? or doing wrong within speedgrade's configuration?

what resolution of dpx sequence sent pr ? if send 4k dpx sequence hardrives slow , sg can't playback in realtime. i'd recommend rescale or go edl route (re-linking r3d clips in sg)

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
