Thread: blank windows until resized

typically try find solutions problems myself. find answers written on forum here, 1 i've never heard of before.

whenever open new application clicking on icon blank window appear. if make smaller resizing can see inside window. symptom includes when application opens window, when i'm editing document , want save it. 'save as' dialog window comes blank.

thought incorrectly set option in ccsm can't find it.

problem exists both in unity , gnome shells. happens in nautilus consistently , ccsm, too. strange.

seems load related. instance, if close apps , open nautilus window not blank.
added 4gig memory system week. i'm runnung -pae version of linux.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
