Thread: GoldenDict crashes

hello all,

use goldendict lot, on daily basis , last week not able use crashes on loading following error:

i have removed goldendict synaptic reinstalled it, reinstalled similar "libstdc" no luck.

how fix this?

deinstalling , reinstalling nothing, because won't change settings. replaces program itself.

reset settings, need find goldendict stores settings -- hidden file such ~/.goldendict (note leading dot) -- , delete it.

of course, reset settings if you'd never run before.

presumes configuration file has been corrupted. if that's not case, resetting settings won't help.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
